About Face event
I’ll be reading from my essay “Concealer” at a book party and panel discussion for About Face this Thursday, October 16th, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Bobbi Brown Studio, 8 Lackawanna Plaza, in Montclair, New Jersey. Also appearing are the book’s editors, Christina Baker Kline and Anne Burt, and contributors Pamela Redmond Satran and Benilde Little.

The Job

The poem has followed me for eight years at least, in the yellow folder filled with papers and pictures for collage. We went through the folder together. He made a card for the two men he loves. Sixteen heart stickers, glitter pink. I took a picture on the sill. All of it, delicate.
