I am an educator and director of Girls Surviving, a writing and performance program for teenage girls.

I have been teaching in New Jersey public schools since 2011, first as a visiting writer with the Morris Arts Education program and then as a certified English educator.

My nonfiction and fiction appear in the anthologies About Face: Women Write About What They See When They Look in the Mirror and The Long Meanwhile: Stories of Arrival and Departure. Stories appear in Bitch magazine, including “Oh Yoko!: 20 Ways of Looking at an Art-World Icon.”

I earned my master's degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing from Rutgers University-Newark. I am a certified English teacher in the state of New Jersey..
