Ellen Papazian is available for writing assignments and
editing projects. She has worked for more than a decade as
a writer and editor for numerous national print and
online media, including Bitch, Ms., Hip Mama, and
Feminist Review.

Her nonfiction writing has appeared in Bitch, Ms., Hip Mama,
Feminist Review, and in the anthology About Face: Women
Write about What They See When They Look in the Mirror
.
Her short fiction appears in the book The Long Meanwhile:
Stories of Arrival and Departure.
She also wrote the
Page Turner
book blog for Bitch magazine.

From 2000 to 2009, she was senior editor of Sex, Etc., the
award-winning, teen-written sex ed magazine and website
published by Answer, at Rutgers University, a national comprehensive sexuality education organization.

As senior editor, Ellen performed the final edit on all content
for the magazine and website and oversaw Sex, Etc.’s
partnerships with MTV and other youth-media outlets.
Sex, Etc.
is a two-time Webby Awards Official Honoree and
has been featured on This American Life.

Prior to joining Answer, Ellen spent three years as
associate managing editor of Ms. magazine, where she
also wrote feature articles, including a cover story on
artist Ani DiFranco.
